All donations of books and funds are deductible to the extent permitted by law. The value of your books is deductible, together with any out-of-pocket expenses for packing and shipping them to us.
Once you have made your gift, please notify us (by U.S. mail, phone, fax or e-mail), and we will send a formal letter of acknowledgment to you. If the value of your donation is greater than $500, we will also send an IRS Form 8283 which you may file with your tax return.
It is not necessary for you to provide us an inventory of your donation; however, you may wish to keep a list for your records, especially in cases of major gifts.
