The ITS in Medicine sent the girl's medical history to doctors around the world and relayed their opinions to the Beijing treatment team which helped clinch the diagnosis. This was the first such use of the Internet to save a life in China.

The ITS in Law sent dozens of books and documents to a group of 80 researchers at the National People’s Congress to help them draft new legislation.
