SEND A BOOK TO ASIA
IS A HUGE SUCCESS!

The City College Libraries and the Bridge to Asia Foundation have collaborated to send 14,156 volumes in two sea containers to Nankai University Library in Tianjin, and Tongji University Library in Shanghai, China.

Thanks are due to all our volunteers - students, staff & faculty - without you all this project would not have been possible. Special thanks to Avi Shalem, CCNY undergrad and part-time Library employee, who set this whole project in motion. Special shout out to volunteers from Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity who volunteered multiple times.

The City College Libraries are deeply grateful to all who sponsored this project:

  • Provost Zeev Dagan
  • Metropolitan Food Service
  • CCNY Chabad Club
  • The City College Book Store
  • Chief Librarian Pamela Gillespie

Special Thanks to CCNY Physical Plant Services Staff for all their efforts.
